If you do not agree with these Terms, please discontinue use of the website and return to whatever dessert-related activities occupied your time previously.

1. PURPOSE OF THE SOCIETY

Only Flans is a private social and culinary organization dedicated to the appreciation, celebration, advancement, discussion, consumption, protection, and responsible stewardship of flan in all its forms.

The Society exists to promote excellence in dessert culture and foster meaningful connections among individuals who recognize that true sophistication is measured not by wealth, status, or influence, but by one’s appreciation for a properly executed custard.

2. ELIGIBILITY

Membership is open only to individuals who:

◆ Are at least eighteen (18) years of age;

◆ Possess a genuine interest in flan;

◆ Conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the values of the Society;

◆ Have not been permanently expelled from the Society for crimes against dessert.

Only Flans reserves the right to accept, decline, revoke, suspend, any membership application for any reason whatsoever.

Membership is a privilege, not a right.

Access to excellence is not granted. It is earned.

3. MEMBERSHIP

Membership categories, benefits, privileges, requirements, obligations, ceremonies, titles, rankings, dessert allocations, and associated fees may be established, modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

Membership does not guarantee:

◆ Admission to all events;

◆ Access to all flan;

◆ Preferred flan;

◆ Larger portions of flan;

◆ Better flan;

◆ Any flan whatsoever.

The Society maintains complete discretion regarding the distribution of flan.

4. MEMBER CONDUCT

Members agree to conduct themselves with courtesy, respect, and an appropriate degree of dessert-related dignity.

Members shall not:

◆ Misrepresent the quality of flan;

◆ Engage in flan fraud;

◆ Present pudding as flan;

◆ Present gelatin as flan;

◆ Disparage flan without evidence;

◆ Create unnecessary drama concerning caramel consistency;

◆ Attempt to seize control of the Society through hostile takeover, proxy contest, coup d’état, or unauthorized bake sale.

Members are encouraged to maintain spirited debate regarding preparation techniques, provided such discussions remain civil.

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The names, logos, marks, graphics, slogans, imagery, photographs, branding elements, and related content displayed on this website are the property of Only Flans™ or its licensors.

Unauthorized use, reproduction, imitation, replication, parody, counterfeiting, cloning, reverse engineering, or dessert-themed appropriation is prohibited without prior written consent.

The phrase:

“Exceptional By Nature”

is a protected brand statement of the Society.

6. EVENTS

The Society may host private gatherings, tastings, dinners, competitions, educational experiences, and other events.

Attendance may be limited.

Admission may be restricted.

Dress codes may apply.

Guests may be required to demonstrate a baseline understanding of flan prior to entry.

Failure to do so may result in observation-only status - you may look at flan, but shall not be permitted to consume it.

7. PHOTOGRAPHY AND MEDIA

By attending Society events, you acknowledge that photographs, video recordings, interviews, testimonials, and other media may be captured.

The Society may use such materials for promotional, educational, historical, documentary, artistic, archival, ceremonial, or flan-related purposes.

No compensation shall be owed for such use.

The information presented on this website is provided for general informational purposes only.

While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantees regarding:

11. TERMINATION

The Society reserves the right to suspend or terminate memberships, website access, event privileges, communications, correspondence, or dessert opportunities at its sole discretion.

Termination may occur without warning.

Former members may not continue representing themselves as members.

Nor may they claim privileged access to flan.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable therein.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved within the appropriate courts of Alberta.

The Society continues to regard civilized discussion over dessert as the preferred method of dispute resolution.

13. AMENDMENTS

The Society reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.

Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Members are encouraged to review these Terms periodically.

Or at least occasionally.

14. FINAL PROVISION

The Society recognizes that many organizations claim exclusivity.

Few achieve it.

Fewer still achieve it through dessert.

Rarest of all are those who understand why.

Only Flans remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of culinary appreciation, civilized conduct, and flan-related excellence.
